I think physician bias has an impact on health system outcomes, the most important thing about physician bias is the fact that it is sometimes concealed and I think the first step to eliminating physician bias is to raise the physicians’ awareness about it. Additionally, increasing the number of physicians from racial minorities could reduce the impact of bias on health care disparities. Although challenging, these strategies may help create a bias-free practice of medicine.
