Homelessness means not having a home or family or any kind of support or safe environment. In order to better serve the homeless people, we should first need to find the root cause of their homelessness, can give them the resources of different communities which can help them, but will be really helpful is having a social worker who is well aware of all the resources, who can coordinate between the homeless programs and the patient. We as a physician, even by going above and beyond what we can do is very limited. We can fill up their forms for social benefits, can give them resources to get in touch will these societies, but it gets really difficult to f/u and the coordination.
